Norrbotten is Sweden’s largest most northerly region. It is also the most sparsely populated region in Europe. With approximately 250,000 inhabitants, we make up three percent of Sweden’s total population while living on a quarter of the country’s surface. In other words, this is a region where broadband and e-services are needed for people to live, thrive, work and grow old here.

Northern Sweden offers unique opportunities. The cold climate, along with the stable infrastructure for fiber-based communications and sustainable energy supply that are already in place, makes the region very suitable for establishing data centers and other digital services.

But above all else, we are creating and collaborating in cooperative ventures. Collaborations that create economic growth, scale and efficiency. This is a fundamental ingredient for the digitalization of Norrbotten.
